Fishwick Papers: The "Submarine Stacklers Era" edition
Good afternoon!
It’s a bold new age for The Fishwick Papers. We enter 2023 having moved our operations over to Substack. This really changes very little about what will be in the papers, but should make the distribution side of things much more straightforward. A round of applause please for TinyLetter, for lasting longer than any of us thought.
I’m currently relishing the week between Christmas to New Year where time loses all meaning. We’re staying at my mum and dad’s in the outer suburbs of Sydney, watching the cricket, eating Summer Pudding, and getting through books at a rate of knots.
A few quick things to update you on! First, my annual wordplay quiz came out last Friday, this year themed around Board Games. You can find this year’s quiz here, and you can download a collection of all the quizzes for pay-what-you-want here (including charming new design and layout by Ellie Featherston).
Second, there’s a Chrismas special of my podcast I Get That A Lot with Father Chris Bedding. I think it’s quite a special interview, looking at jokes about ‘Bedding’, the haunting of printers in churches, and the way people view faith workers. You can find the episode here or in your favourite pod places.
Anyhow, to some good ol’-fashioned links!
